Checking in a guest with or without a reservation
Introduction
When you arrive at a hotel, you must check in at the reception. The receptionist has to find the reservation, which can take a while. The guest can also arrive at a hotel without a reservation, in which case they are a walk-in guest. The person working at the reception must also provide the guest with information about the hotel and its surroundings. Guests sometimes request additional information either about the hotel or the services offered in the hotel's surroundings. The receptionist must be prepared for the guest's questions.
